NEW EXHIBIT AT ABOVE & BEYOND CHILDREN’S MUSEUM CREATES A PLAYFUL, INTERACTIVE CELEBRATION OF WISCONSIN’S FARMING CULTURE

The Toddler Room at Above & Beyond Children's Museum is set to transform to the Melitta S. and Joan M. Pick Toddler Barnyard. The new exhibit on the second floor will feature a multi-level barn play-structure and slide, toys that encourage the development of children ages 0-4 in the areas of gross motor, fine motor, and cognitive skills. The project is made possible with the financial support of Melitta S and Joan M Pick Charitable Trust, a charitable organization based in Milwaukee, Wis., focused on gifts, grants, or loans to other organizations. Project partners include local businesses Custom Built Inc. and Quasius Construction.

“This beloved space will become a new time-honored favorite of our youngest visitors to the museum,” said Emily Rendall-Araujo, Executive Director of Above & Beyond Children’s Museum. “Not only will the new Toddler Barnyard be a grand spot for active discovery it will help educate kids and families about farming and growing fresh foods through play and themed programming.”

Additional enhancements to the Toddler Room area, located on the East side of the building’s second floor, include a private area designed with nursing mothers in mind funded by Sheboygan Service Club and a remodeled family bathroom.

The community is invited to support additional museum enhancements through a variety of sponsorship and donor opportunities. For more information please call Above & Beyond Children’s Museum Executive Director Emily Rendall-Araujo at 920-458-4263.
