    9:30-10:30 am

Nature Makers invites children to explore the wild world around them by creating leafy trees, animal friends, and imaginative nature-inspired designs using cardboard, shapes, and open-ended materials. Through building, arranging, and decorating, young makers bring their ideas to life while celebrating the creativity found in the natural world.

ABCM is proud to be a part of a national initiative supported by the Association of Children’s Museums (ACM) and Simon’s Foundation to promote early math learning and confidence-building through playful, engaging museum experiences. As a partner in this initiative, we are creating and testing hands-on experiences that help families explore math in ways that are meaningful, joyful, and confidence-building!

This collaboration brings together museum educators, math learning researchers, and families to spark a love of numbers and problem-solving in everyday play. Our team is excited to introduce the beginning of our pilot projects- each focused on helping children and caregivers explore math concepts together through making, tinkering, and imaginative play.
